Josephine EMEGHOGHENA serves as the Head of Volunteer Engagement and Management at the Voluntary Aid and Development Organisation (VADO), where she leads strategies for recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers across all VADO programs and initiatives.

She is responsible for developing frameworks that enhance volunteer motivation, retention, and capacity development, ensuring that participants gain meaningful experiences while contributing effectively to community and national development goals. Josephine brings extensive experience in community mobilization, human resource coordination, and volunteer management systems, enabling her to build dynamic teams that align with VADO’s vision of promoting volunteerism as a pathway to employability and civic participation.

Her leadership in volunteer engagement supports flagship initiatives such as the Volunteer Abroad Program, Enhancing Learning Experience through Community Time-Credits (ELECT) students’ framework, and the Labour Voucher volunteer engagement platform, advancing VADO’s mission to professionalize and sustain the culture of service in Nigeria and beyond.
